Transgender - Is The Voice's Sasha Allen a girl?
Sasha first announced as transgender in high school. Sasha had a difficult time, but he knew that with the help of his music and family he would be able to handle it. Jim and Sasha - both songwriters - were just recently forming an official music duo. Since then they've appeared in numerous local venues, including open mics. The Voice coaches didn't discuss the past of Sasha, but Jim and Sasha shared their story before they performed. Sasha and Jim talked about their favorite music and how they first played guitar at the age of six. It was easier for Sasha to pick up the instrument because his father is an accomplished musician. Sasha was born female and had a hard time finding his identity as a kid. In an Instagram post from last week she spoke out about his struggles. Then, Jim overcame with emotion when he clarified why he couldn't be a one of those struggling times. Sasha Allen, The Voice contestant was born a girl. Sasha Allen turns 19 in 2021. Sasha Allen began his transition into masculinity while just entering his first year of high school. "I'm the third trans person to ever appear on the show and I'm so excited to represent the trans community on such a massive platform," Sasha wrote on Instagram.
